Living RoomThe living room, staircase, upstairs hall and bedroom #2 are part of an addition built in the 1930s or 40s. More contemporary board floors are now covered with carpet in the living room, upstairs hall and on the stairs. The wide vertical heart-pine boards that were the front of the original structure have been sandblasted and given a clear oil treatment that provides the unique accent wall viewed from the living room and upstairs hall. A solid wall was removed to open the staircase, and a new handrail and balusters replaced a crude ones previously used upstairs. Crown molding was added. |
